Media Consultant Job Description

 Primary Objective

The main goal of the Ad Sales Consultant is sales achievement by initiating and maintaining advertising relationships with companies who are suppliers of craft breweries and wineries.

Regular Work Activities

  • Learn about the beverage industry 
  • Learn our specific sales strategies 
  • Participate in weekly sales training
  • Research your assigned companies, understand what they do
  • Contact (email, phone) your assigned companies
  • Develop and maintain advertising relationships with those companies 
  • Create advertising packages 
  • Follow up and close ad sales
  • Track, document and report all sales made

Key Skills

  • Previous sales experience a huge plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to learn and be taught 
  • Able to manage time efficiently
  • Exceptional relationship building skills
  • Technology skills – Email, Google Sheets, Google Drive
  • Great ability to focus and execute
  • Able to persevere in the face of rejection

Performance Measures

We operate at a high level of performance, independence, and accountability. As a team member of you will have:

  • A daily quota of 25 outbound calls and 25 outbound emails 
  • A weekly team meeting to do training, sales updates, and strategy discussions
  • A bi-monthly one on one meeting to discuss sales results and growth goals
  • A yearly meeting with the Publisher to discuss performance and long term goals

Hours & Compensation:

  • This position allows the right individual to work from home and provides flexible hours. 
  • The position may require some travel (1-2 times per year) 
  • Compensation is base salary plus commission. Salary depending on experience. 
  • Expected yearly compensation $30k-50k
