Bel Lago Vineyards and Winery earns its name from the tasting room’s picturesque view overlooking the beautiful vineyard and south Lake Leelanau, in the heart of Leelanau County. Founded in 1987, Bel Lago grows more than 100 varieties on 37 acres, selecting varieties that favor cool climates and express the rich soil of the area. In addition to the popular vinifera, varieties include Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer, and Riesling. In addition to wine, Bel Lago produces several hard ciders.
