Gervasi Adds Wine To Family Reserve Line

Gervasi Vineyard has introduced a new wine to their Family Reserve line: Celebrazione. The Family Reserve collection started in 2015, and Celebrazione is the fourth addition to this estate-grown lineup.

Gervasi planted their first vineyard in the spring of 2009, and eleven years later, Gervasi now offers over 30 wine varietals. Celebrazione – which means ‘celebration’ in Italian – is a tribute to Christi Blackerby, daughter of the winery’s founder.

The Family Reserve wine collection is crafted with grapes picked from Gervasi’s own vineyards, capturing the true essence and character of the estate. Each bottle tells the story of one of the founding family members, beginning with Lascito (‘Legacy’) honoring owner and visionary, Ted Swaldo. Passione (‘Passion’) pays homage to Ted’s son and Gervasi CEO/General Manager, Scott Swaldo, while Unita (‘Unity’) honors Ted’s wife, Linda Swaldo.

Celebrazione is a blend of Merlot and Marquette, combined to produce a youthful wine that conveys the vibrancy of the holiday season with its aromas of bright fresh fruits and hints of red licorice. The soft silky tannins present layers of tart cherry and blackberry flavors in a warm, gentle embrace. Celebrazione is now available for purchase at all GV Destinations locations.

“At Gervasi Vineyard, we aspire to produce elegant wines of the highest quality that will complement gatherings of family and friends,” said Scott Swaldo. “The entire Swaldo Family is thrilled to debut our fourth Family Reserve wine, ‘Celebrazione’, which embodies our belief that life is meant for celebrating. It is a beautiful tribute to my sister, Christi.”

The story behind the ‘Live to Celebrate’ mantra is best expressed by Christi Blackerby herself: “Every day you’re alive is a day to celebrate. Too often we wait for the BIG moments – the milestones, the successes, the victories – before we stop to recognize all we’ve accomplished and how much we have to be grateful for. But it’s the everyday moments – the hard work, the challenges, even the failures – that shape who we are and prepare us for the next big thing. These, too, are moments worth celebrating. Life itself is a special occasion, and there’s always a reason to dance, to sing, to share a glass of wine with people you love.”
