Wente Vineyards, the country’s longest, continuously family-owned and operated winery, is pleased to unveil a fresh new look for its website, wentevineyards.com. Designed to accelerate ecommerce sales, the website’s updated look and new system experience marks a significant investment in Wente Vineyards’ digital marketing strategy while further amplifying the story of women leadership at Wente Family Estates.
Wente Vineyards is recognized as one of California’s premier wine country destinations, featuring wine tasting, food and wine experiences, and championship golf. The winery draws from certified sustainable estate vineyards in the Livermore Valley, San Francisco Bay, and Arroyo Seco, Monterey appellations to create an outstanding array of fine wines.
“We’re proud to launch the latest iteration of wentevineyards.com,” said Aly Wente, Fifth Generation Winegrower and Vice-President of Marketing and Customer Experience at Wente Vineyards. “With our wines sold in all 50 states and over 70 countries, our website is often the first point of entry to share who we are and what we stand for. This latest refresh perfectly reflects the vision of the next generation and what’s ahead while still representing Wente Vineyards’ core values – family, sustainability, and great, coastal wines.”
Wente Vineyards transferred their system to the Commerce7 platform for its modern aesthetic and advanced technological capabilities. The new homepage is immediately transportive, offering a striking visual first impression, with a video montage of the estate’s sweeping panoramas in the historic Livermore Valley, just east of San Francisco. The dramatic scenes are overlaid with Wente Vineyards’ signature motto: “Family Owned. Certified Sustainable.”
Scrolling down, website visitors can “Meet the Women Behind Wente” in a new section that features Aly as well as her sister, Niki Wente, Senior Viticulture and Vineyard Manager, and Elizabeth Kester, Director of Winemaking. The section highlights how women have led the charge at Wente Vineyards since 1977 – driving key decision making and growing the brand to what it is today. Together, Niki, Elizabeth and Aly represent three of the women leaders who are currently shaping the estate, its wines and the business, from vine to glass. Few wineries with Wente Vineyards’ reach can claim a head female viticulturist, a lead female winemaker, and a woman leading the business charge – all under the age of 40.
Videos are available for visitors to learn more about Niki, Aly and Elizabeth, while an exclusive Women Behind Wente collection spotlights their top picks for purchase. This curated selection joins a series of themed collections like Legacy Meets Luxury, focusing on Nth Degree Wines, and Limited Release Small Lot Wines.
The new site also highlights Wente Vineyards’ ongoing sustainability practices – which have been in place since the estate’s founding in 1883. A certified sustainable vineyard and winery from the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance, fewer than ten percent of wineries hold both the vineyard and winery certifications. Wente Vineyards is proud to maintain this designation year-after-year, and the website is updated with the most current improvements that go well beyond what’s required to maintain the certification.
Additional new features include a more streamlined shopping experience, a cleaner, easier to use club member interface, updated experiences for prospective visitors to choose from, and a refreshed “Discover” section for those wishing to learn about Wente Vineyards’ foundational role in California wine history.
